I Am Your Beast VR on Quest: PC VR or Standalone?

Quest controller support is listed for the Steam VR edition. Check PC streaming requirements separately from any native Quest release claim.

What is confirmed for Quest owners?

The official Steam VR edition of I Am Your Beast lists OpenXR and Meta Quest Touch in its VR-support field. It released on September 17, 2026. This is evidence about the PC VR product and its stated input support; it does not turn a Steam purchase into a native Quest application.

As of the October 22 check, the official launch sources reviewed here confirm Steam PC VR. We did not establish a native Meta Horizon Store release or a standalone Quest release date. That uncertainty should be preserved rather than converted into either a promised launch or a claim that the headset cannot be used.

Streaming is different from standalone play

With PC VR streaming, the computer runs the game while the headset receives the experience. Valve's Steam Link support page explains streaming from a computer running Steam and SteamVR to supported headsets, including listed Quest models. The PC, headset software, and connection each have requirements.

Installing Steam Link on a Quest is therefore not the same as installing I Am Your Beast as a native Quest game. Likewise, a video labelled “Quest gameplay” may show a PC-rendered session. Check the video's description and the linked storefront before using it as purchase evidence.

Checks before buying the Steam version

  1. Confirm app 3844740, not the original screen-based app 1876590.
  2. Check the game's VR-support information for your controllers.
  3. Read the connection software's current supported-headset and PC requirements.
  4. Verify that your computer can handle the intended VR setup; the headset alone is not the complete system.

The game's stated minimum specifications should not be read as a guarantee for every streaming route, resolution, or refresh rate.

If you want a game without a PC

Wait for an explicit native Quest product page or official announcement naming that platform. A search result from a mixed PCVR/Quest catalogue is insufficient. Check the publisher, supported devices, and whether the purchase actually runs on the headset itself before spending money.
