Quitting Time is available now
I Am Your Beast: Quitting Time released on October 20, 2026. On Steam it is paid downloadable content that requires the base game. Its official DLC page confirms a fully voiced, ten-level prequel campaign set in Southeast Asia. This is a released expansion, not an upcoming announcement, as of October 22, 2026.
| Item | Confirmed information |
|---|---|
| Story position | Before the main game |
| Setting | A new Southeast Asian biome |
| Campaign | Ten new, fully voiced levels |
| Faction | Patriotic Defense League |
| Music | Original soundtrack by Kalibration |
| Steam requirement | Ownership of I Am Your Beast |
What the prequel changes about Harding’s story
The setup follows Alphonse Harding while he still believes in the structures he serves and trusts his handler, Colonel Charles Burkin. A shadow war against the Patriotic Defense League supplies the new conflict. Those premises come from the store synopsis; they do not reveal the expansion’s ending.
That perspective gives the prequel a different dramatic question from the base game. Instead of beginning with a retired operative refusing another assignment, it can examine the beliefs that made those assignments possible. Playing the base story first is a reasonable editorial preference for preserving that contrast, rather than a claimed mandatory story order.
New surroundings, familiar reasons to replay
The official feature list retains replayable arenas, side objectives and faster-time chasing. It also highlights throwing a riot shield. A new biome and faction can change the visual and narrative context, but the verified description still centers on refining compact encounters.
Ten levels are a content count, not a reliable conversion into hours. There is no verified completion-time estimate here. Likewise, the feature summary is not a complete weapon inventory or an S-rank walkthrough.
The music credit deserves particular care: Kalibration composes Quitting Time’s original soundtrack. The base game’s RJ Lake credit should not be automatically applied to the expansion.
Before you buy or install
Check that the store account owns the base game, then read the current DLC listing for your platform and region. A soundtrack product and the story expansion are separate kinds of content; buying music does not grant the campaign.
If you are returning after finishing the original, refresh movement and equipment handling in a familiar level first. Then let the new campaign establish its own encounters before relying on an old route or assuming every optional objective works identically.
Place the prequel in your reading order
If you are new to the series, the first-run guide introduces the base game's combat and escape loop. The level-set overview keeps the original campaign separate from Quitting Time's ten stages. For the expansion's composer credit, see the soundtrack guide.
