I Am Your Beast Midnight Trails: The Missing Bear Trap
Find the community-reported fifth bear trap in Midnight Trails and plan the bonus objective without relying on duplication tricks.
Updated
If you have found only four traps
The most useful documented lead is a slightly hidden ledge in the back-left area of the map. In a first-hand Reddit discussion, a player searching Midnight Trails for five bear traps could find only four. Replies identified a fifth on that ledge and another hidden-area reply supported the same discovery. Community question and corrections.
Treat “back-left” as a player’s directional description, not a precise coordinate. The useful clue is to inspect the less obvious ledge toward the far side, rather than repeatedly searching the same four pickup spots. The source does not provide a verified step-by-step route here.
Do a discovery attempt first
Separate finding the last item from executing the bonus objective quickly. On a reconnaissance run, look around the far-side ledges and memorize the landmark that lets you recognize the extra pickup. Once found, connect it to a route you already understand.
For a visual comparison, Tranurz’s community S-rank and bonus-objective walkthrough has a Midnight Trails chapter at 13:53. This is a video chapter position, not the level’s required completion time. Compare the scene with your edition before copying its actions.
Confirm what the objective counted
| Situation | Useful next check |
|---|---|
| Only four traps located | Search the reported hidden ledge |
| All pickups found, objective incomplete | Re-read the requirement and observe which actions register |
| A trap attempt fails | Isolate that encounter before replaying the whole route |
Plan which encounters you want to use for the objective before spending equipment indiscriminately. If a bonus attempt and a fast-rank route interfere with each other, practice them separately.
Avoid the misleading duplication detour
The same Reddit thread initially suggested a trap-duplication trick, then corrected the implication that it was necessary after the fifth trap was pointed out. That is weaker evidence than the ordinary hidden pickup lead and is not a dependable version-independent solution.
Start with exploration and objective feedback. This guide does not claim exact trap coordinates, a guaranteed exploit, or a tested all-five-kill route.
