I Am Your Beast VR Japanese Language: Current Status
The official Steam VR edition lists English only. Check Japanese interface, voices, and subtitles on the VR product rather than the original.
Updated
Does the VR edition support Japanese?
The official I AM YOUR BEAST VR Steam page currently lists English for interface, full audio, and subtitles. Japanese does not appear in that language table, as checked on October 22, 2026. No official Japanese-localization timetable was verified for this guide.
This applies specifically to Steam app 3844740, the VR Only product. If Japanese menus or story subtitles are a purchase requirement, the current official table does not provide that assurance.
Use the VR product, not a similarly named page
I Am Your Beast and I AM YOUR BEAST VR are separate Steam products. A language claim for one should not automatically be transferred to the other. A Japanese-language shop interface can still display a game whose software is English only.
The official VR launch announcement, dated September 17, 2026, confirms the PC VR release. That announcement is useful for identifying the licensed product; it does not establish Japanese interface text, Japanese dubbing, or Japanese subtitles.
What the language categories tell you
Interface, full audio, and subtitles answer different questions. A Japanese subtitle option, if one is ever added, would not by itself mean Japanese voice acting. Similarly, translated menus alone would not prove that every story scene is translated. Read the fields individually and check dated update notes for the exact scope.
This distinction matters when watching demonstrations: a Japanese title, commentary track, or video description may belong to the uploader. Look at actual in-game text and the official supported-language list before drawing conclusions about localization.
Rechecking a future update
Return to app 3844740, inspect all three language columns, and look for an explicit developer or publisher announcement naming Japanese. Do not assume that changing the Steam client's language forces an unsupported translation.
An unofficial patch would require its own compatibility evidence for the VR build. This guide has not verified one. Until the official listing changes, describe the supported software as English rather than presenting Japanese website text or community commentary as an in-game feature.
