I Am Your Beast Combat and Movement Guide

Learn a repeatable arena route, connect tree climbing with combat, and use focused replays to improve your runs.

Read the objective before the route

I Am Your Beast combines quick combat with small arenas designed for replay. Its official description highlights tree climbing, side objectives, and escaping through Harding’s tunnel network. Start a new stage by reading its actual objective and learning what completes the attempt. Your first useful route connects the required task with the exit.

Treat early exploration as practice. Locate approaches you can recognize again, notice where equipment becomes available, and observe how a change of height affects your view of the arena. Avoid assuming that a route from another level will solve this one.

Build a sequence you can repeat

Divide an attempt into an opening, a middle, and an exit approach. For each part, know where you intend to move and what you need before continuing. If you repeatedly stop at the same point, practice that transition rather than restarting with a completely new plan every time.

The developers describe movement as flexible in their Xbox Wire interview. Use that freedom to compare approaches. Tree climbing is worth exploring, but a higher position should serve a clear purpose: understanding the layout, reaching the next part of your route, or setting up an encounter you have chosen to practice.

Give each replay one job

Separate learning the stage from completing a particular bonus objective and improving a finished run. Read the displayed requirement each time; do not assume a faster attempt automatically satisfies every optional condition.

After an unsuccessful attempt, name one cause you can act on. Perhaps you hesitated before collecting equipment or took a detour without a useful result. Keep the successful sections and revise that part. Once the route feels dependable, connect the sections and compare complete attempts.

Use controls that match your setup

Check your edition’s current control settings and prompts before following a demonstration. Practice the actions you need with your own bindings. Then rehearse a short sequence on your input device and gradually incorporate it into the route.
