Learn the loop before chasing a grade
I Am Your Beast rewards a clear plan more than a large inventory. You play retired operative Alphonse Harding, fighting the Covert Operations Initiative through compact arenas. The developer describes the core rhythm as turning enemy equipment against its owners and escaping through Harding’s tunnel network. Tree climbing and replayable side objectives are central features, alongside a fully voiced campaign of more than 20 levels. Official game description.
On your first attempt, read the main objective and locate the exit. A run spent learning where the objective sits is useful even if its grade is poor. Knowing what ends the mission prevents a common mistake: clearing an area without having a plan for leaving it.
Build a small, repeatable route
Choose an opening encounter you can execute consistently. Identify how you will get a weapon, which target comes next, and where you will move after that target falls. Think in short links rather than trying to memorize an entire perfect performance immediately.
During exploration, look for equipment and environmental opportunities that sit along your intended path. A powerful item is less useful if collecting it sends you across the whole arena. Test one change at a time so that you can tell whether a different pickup or turn actually helps.
Community creator Tranurz’s S-rank and bonus-objective walkthrough includes general advice before its individual levels. It is a player demonstration from 2024, so compare its objectives and interface with your current edition.
Give each replay one purpose
Use separate attempts for learning the layout, satisfying a bonus objective, and improving your rank. These goals can overlap, but forcing them together before you know the map makes mistakes harder to diagnose.
- Finish the required objective and learn the exit approach.
- Read the newly available bonus requirements carefully.
- Practice whichever action is least reliable.
- Attempt a faster complete route once the pieces are familiar.
Read the result, then adjust
After a disappointing run, identify one cause: a missed interaction, an unnecessary detour, or hesitation before the next encounter. Change that part and keep the rest stable. This makes improvement measurable without requiring a record-setting route. S-ranks can wait until you understand what the level asks of you; the first useful milestone is a completion you can repeat.
Choose your next goal
If you are still clearing missions, use the level-set checklist to separate the story, Challenge, Support Group, and the paid prequel. When an encounter interrupts your route, review enemy threats and equipment. Once you can finish a route consistently, move to the S-rank practice guide for rank-specific goals.
